How do change the listening volume of VHF#1 on the audio control panel?

If AC power is not available, name the DC sources the emergency inverter can receive its power from?

Left or right essential DC bus

What does the emergency inverter power? 

The essential AC bus

The HMG can be hydraulically powered by what hydraulic sources?

Left or PTU pressure

What AC buses does the HMG power?

Left and right standby AC buses

What DC buses does the HMG power?

Left and right essential DC buses

The HMG produces AC power. What converts it to DC for use by the left and right essential DC buses?

What are the engine IDG ratings?

How can you reset a GCU?

Turn generator off then back on

What does the GCU do?

Monitors voltage, frequency, and current output. Removes if out of parameters.

Pressing the RAM Air switch to in, does what?

Overrides the L pack and R pack valves, closing them. RAM air pressure will open RAM air check valve. (Pack switches illum. off)

What does pressing the auto temp select switch to in do?

Disables temp display switch and displays selected zone temperatures

What does pressing the auto temp select switch to off (legend extinguished)?

Allows cockpit control of temperature selection

What does the bus power control units do?

Monitor and protect the external power sources and provide under voltage protection for the ESS. AC Bus, left and right main DC buses

What unique function does the left BPCU do?

No break power transfer

You have a perfectly operating airplane until the point an engine fails. The APR is not running. will you get a no break power transfer?

No

What may cause the AC legend of the AC/DC reset switch to illuminate?

 

Fault in main AC BUS or ESS. AC, logic fault in a BPCU, relay, or component failure

What does pressing the AC/DC reset switch do?

Resets a lockout, allows tripped contactors to close if fault no longer exists.

During normal operation, where does the essential AC bus receive its power?

Left main AC bus

During normal operation, the left main AC bus supplies power to the essential AC BUS. If the left main AC bus fails, where does the essential AC bus receive its power?

Right main AC bus

The left and right main AC bus is not powered. How does the essential AC bus receive its power?

From the emergency inverter from left or right essential DC bus.

What is the KVA rating of the HMG?

10 KVA

What monitors the HMG voltage and frequency and load? 

Its own dedicated GCU

How can you reset the HMG?

Turning the standby electrical power off then back to on

You have experienced dual generator failure and the APU is not operating. What is powered when you press just the standby electrical power switch to on?

What does the "L main TRU" switch do when depressed? 

Left main TRU is powered by the right AC bus

When does the "gnd svc bus" capsule on the electrical power panel indicate when it is illuminated?

Ground service bus is powered by external power or the right main aircraft battery

The aux TRU normally receives its power from what bus?

Left main AC bus

The aux TRU normally receives its power from the left main AC bus. Where will it receive its power if the left main AC bus fails?

Right main AC bus

If the aux TRU Is not being powered by the HMG, what bus will it automatically power if the left main DC and right essential bus loses power? 

Right essential DC bus. Priority is left essential, right essential, left main, then right main DC buses.

What is the aux TRU output supply priority when the HMG is not operating?

Priority is left essential, right essential, left main, then right main DC buses.

The aux TRU is normally powered by the left main AC bus, and if that fails, the right main AC bus. If the right main AC bus fails, what other source can we use to power the aux TRU?

What is the amp-hour rating of the main aircraft battery? 

53 Amp Hours

Assuming a fully charged battery, how long will it last if the battery ammeter indicates a minus 26 amps?

The battery charger, when operating in the TR mode can provide 28VDC power up to 50 amps. The battery capsule light will illuminate when the charger is operating in the TR mode. What three situations is the charger in the TR mode?

When power to the essential DC buses drop below 20VDC
